Job Description of Software &SVT Director
Responsibilities:
- Manage the software development team, the system engineering team and the system verification team.
- Select, analyze and choose the technologies used in the company.
- Recruit and train new developers, testers, leaders/managers and system engineers.
- Manage priorities, establish priorities.
- Effectively produce releases for network products.
- Promotes and coordinates technical knowledge harvesting within the organization.
- Tracks and identifies new opportunities to improve our methodology and training offerings.
- Enforces standard policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Master degree or above, major in computer science or equivalent.
-Strong computer science background.
-At least 10 years network product development experience.
-At least 5 years tech-team management experience.
-Extensive knowledge of all areas of network accessing area technologies including switching, routing, network processor, and fabric, etc.
-Knowledge and experience in DOCSIS, G/E/B PON is a strong plus.
-Proficient in object oriented pattern.
-Ability to negotiate and discuss hardware functional design.
-Excellent oral and written English.
-Excellent working attitude, excellent self-learning and problem solving ability.
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
-A passion for creating world class product.
-Experience in software development management in international multiple locations is mandatory.
Additional requirement
-A strong leadership to motivate and encourage team members to march toward aggressive goals
-Experience is managing multiple projects is a strong plus.
-Japanese conversation ability is preferable
